Eppix developed a custom ordering web application for Roelofsen BV. A website where customers can easily place orders anywhere and at any time.

Roelofsen Horeca Groothandel is a relatively young company with 30+ years of experience in the fresh produce industry. For six days a week, they manage the whole supply chain, from purchase to delivery, all in-house, enabling them to switch quickly and efficiently. They have specialized in the tailor-made supply of potatoes, vegetables, fruit, exotics and nuts. Delivering to kitchens, hotels restaurants or schools.

The challenge

Eppix developed a custom ordering web application for Roelofsen BV. A website where customers can easily place orders anywhere and at any time.

Our approach

Every modern ordering system needs a clean and clear design. Thus, after an in-take, all requirements and wishes from Roelofsen were collected our designer started working. Focussing on a design that would fit well on both a desktop, mobile phone and tablet. A link to their ERP system was created in collaboration with the software provider and the IT consultant of Roelofsen.

During the execution of a project, not everything goes exactly as you would like to see, but this is exactly what makes our work so beautiful and challenging. Seeming impossibilities have been turned into creative alternatives. After intensive coordination, the requirements and the design are finalized, and the new web application was launched.

The result

The new customized ordering system allows customers to easily send their orders at any time they like. This ensures more peace of mind and fewer mistakes. To increase the efficiency of the system, customers can place a repeat order. Moreover, they have gained the possibility to create a selection of their favourite products. For example, for lunch and dinner. Convenient for the cooks who place the product orders.

Furthermore, the website has a direct link with their ERP system, thus, orders are invoiced and processed automatically.

To conclude, a well-arranged website with many useful features. And most importantly; a system that Roelofsen and her customers are happy with.
